Thank you.
Overland Park web marketing: Step 1: Create a new Type.
The
I suppose this *can* be done with an existing "Type," but we really only need 1 field. So even the default "item." type seems like overkill. In the editor, click on "Types" in the toolbar. Then click "New Type" and you should see the following:
Create a new
Create a new type with the name "redirect-404" and press "Create"
Next, hit the big "Define New" button.
Define a new property for the new Type
And create a new property called "pageid" of Type "text," and hit "Continue"

You should now see your new property!
New Property created.
That's it for this part! Hit "Update" and you're off to the next step.
Step 2: Create a new template.
If you don't already have Don Cole's RTML template uploader, I strongly recommend you get it. The RTML template for this part can be downloaded here, or, if you're a masochist, you *can* create templates directly in the Yahoo! Store editor. The function of this template is pretty straightforward. If there is something in the "pageid" field, then it will create a META REFRESH tag that will redirect the visitor to the page of your choosing. If you don't supply a "pageid," the template will create a redirect to your sites "home" page. |
